What's up, it's Amber! (From now on, a bit of a different "intro", I guess)
Today I want to tell you some tips and tricks about starting a blog and how to make it successful :) This month has been a bit off schedule so I have to get back on track with posting regularly and making posts of high quality :) So, the steps are all listed below:
1. Choose a site to have your blog on. I strongly recommend blogger, as it's super easy to manage and all of it is really straight forward :) (If you have a Google account then you probably have a blogger account, just go to www.blogger.com and it should ask you for your email and password)
2. Choose a web address.
A web address is one of the most important steps to a successful blog, in my opinion. If you have a blog address like cutecupcakesandadorablecatsandminions.blogspot.co.uk, no-one will find it, and that's not the point- you want people to find your blog, right?
3. Choose a name for your blog.
Choose something in general, because if you decide to change the variety and style of posts your writing, then your name won't fit. For e.g. All things cats, and you decide you don't like cats anymore a few months later.
4. Make a good background.
Don't worry too much about this right now, but just make a simple background that's appealing to your viewers.
5. Make a description to your blog.
You want people to briefly know what your blog is about and what you'll be posting.
6. Add a description to your profile.
When you click "view blog" at the top of your blog list page you should be able to see your blogger profile. Click on it, and edit. You can have anything you like!
7. Do your first post. Click on the button on the left hand side which says "New post". It will take you to a page where you can write! You can tell your viewers what you'll be posting in more detail, and you can say a bit about yourself. Now it's up to you!
If you need any instructions for specific steps, talk it out with me in the comments! You can also search on Google if you'd like ;)
P.S. If you want the browser to not track your own page views, then you have to find a button saying don't track my own page views. Search it for further info :) Also, if you do that, it only saves on your browser so if you use a different one then you have to save the settings again :)
Thanks for reading my tips and tricks and keep checking for new posts!
I love you all,
Amber ❤
